Job description
Test Engineer
3 days per week onsite
Brighton
Outside IR35
6 months contract
Our client, operating in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking an experienced Test / Integration Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves architecting and deploying test solutions to support product development, manufacturing, and in-service test execution. You will ensure that new product designs have adequate testability features to facilitate testing throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and modify Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs) and other qualification documentation prior to Critical Design Review (CDR).
- Develop test specifications.
- Define test system requirements and test system facility interface requirements.
- Program test systems to run automated test routines.
- Define standard templates for test system report outputs.
- Develop a test system network and results storage database.
- Develop dashboards for data-driven analysis of product test outputs.
- Implement Test System Health usage and monitoring.
- Manage suppliers of externally developed test solutions.
- Innovate solutions for product testability.
- Provide support for the test and serviceability of customer products.
Job Requirements:
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Test system design and implementation.
- Test fixture design.
- Electro-mechanical testing.
- Electrical/electronic design.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW software and data acquisition equipment.
- SQL Database design.
- Knowledge of XML and HTML.
