Job description
Our client, a global leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team in Redditch. This is a permanent role where you will be part of a team committed to delivering high-quality, energy-efficient solutions, enhancing the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of manufacturing processes around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes
- Provide technical advice and counsel to cross-functional teams assigned to process improvement projects
- Offer technical guidance to less experienced engineers
- Complete Quality Engineering assignments with minimal supervision
- Develop and implement corrective actions
- Host Source inspectors and/or Customer Auditors as needed
- Prepare and present material to customer representatives and/or facility employees as required
- Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers as needed
- Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards
Job Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing processes, preferably within the aerospace industry
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and requirements
- Knowledge of machining, assembly operations, gauging, SPC, APQP, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Experience in performing Quality Audits
- Proficiency in using MS Windows OS and familiarity with MS Office software
- Project Management experience is preferred
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) is preferred
