Job description
Our client, a leading innovator in the Marine industry, is currently seeking a Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. Formed from the elite America's Cup racing environment, our client utilises cutting-edge development experiences to engineer world-leading products aimed at decarbonising the marine industry. Their projects, including, Foil Optimised Stability System (FOSS), and advanced foiling vessels, reflect a commitment to redefining the industry's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a small, dynamic team of engineers to develop systems for the commercial, leisure, and shipping sectors of the Marine Industry
- Design and specification of hydraulic systems, from producing schematics to 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings of components
- Produce documentation and calculations to support designs
- Model hydraulic systems with Simcenter AMEsim for validation
- Develop and test hydraulic systems
- Select and manage suppliers
- Commission and provide technical support for vessels
Job Requirements:
- Higher education in Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, control systems or related fields
- Understanding of Industrial and Mobile hydraulic systems and components
- Comprehension of Mechanical systems
- Experience with CAD design, preferably Siemens NX
- Experience in creating hydraulic schematics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work safely and effectively with hands-on tasks
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
