Our client, a leading consultancy in the highways sector, is seeking a Highways Associate to join their team in Manchester. This position opened due to a recent departure and offers an exciting opportunity to provide technical leadership across a range of highways and transport infrastructure projects, from local authority schemes to major national infrastructure programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading project delivery from early concept through to construction
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients
- Managing and mentoring a small team of engineers
- Supporting the development and growth of the Manchester office
- Controlling budgets, programmes, and resources
- Supporting bids and business development activities
Job Requirements:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng)
- Solid experience delivering highways and transport projects
- Strong understanding of DMRB, MfS, and local authority standards
- Proficiency in design tools such as Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MX or AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to lead and influence stakeholders
