Our client, a major player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for a contract role based in Poole, UK. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge naval technology in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working within a team or on an individual basis
- Cable assembly and looming using lacing and other cable accessories
- Assisting with the wiring of sub-assemblies/enclosures to process instructions
- Maintaining good housekeeping practices
- Working safely within an ESD protected area
- Maintaining and using tooling, including shadow boards
- Ensuring good communication with all levels of staff
- Being self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in prototype and panel wireman tasks
- Experience in manufacturing cable assemblies and harnesses to high standards
- Understanding of MOD and IPC620 standards
- Experience working with electronic systems and hardware within the Defence sector
- Good knowledge of company standards and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication skills at all levels
