Building Inspector
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Building Inspector to join our growing technical inspection team. This role is ideal for professionals who take pride in delivering high‑quality, regulated inspections and want to progress through a structured competency pathway. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance, safety, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regulated inspections in line with RBI frameworks (Class 2D and above).
Assess building work for compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and approved documentation.
Produce clear, accurate, and timely inspection reports.
Provide technical guidance to clients, contractors, and project teams.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and industry best practice.
Progress through structured competency milestones aligned with your experience and qualifications.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience in building control, construction inspection, or a related technical discipline.
Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance pathways.
Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your own inspection schedule.
Professional registration (CABE, RICS, CIOB) is desirable - or a clear pathway toward it.
