Our client, is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join their highway and transport team. This full-time secondment with the option to work from home a few days a week once embedded in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and managing the delivery of 20 mph zones projects
- Implementing physical features such as road humps, chicanes, and pedestrian crossings
- Conducting road safety assessments and evaluations
- Coordinating and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and guidelines
- Preparing detailed design reports and documentation
- Overseeing project timelines and budgets to ensure successful delivery
- Providing technical support and guidance throughout project lifecycle
Job Requirements:
- Experience in road safety and highway design
- Proficiency in relevant design software and tools
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines within the highways sector
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
