Our client, a leading entity in the Defence & Security sector, is searching for a highly skilled Lead Project Professional - Delivery to join their team in Barrow-in-Furness on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a small project or a part of a larger, more complex project.
- Supporting a Project Manager or Head of Project with various management aspects of a larger project.
- Acting as a Control Account Manager with specific responsibilities for the performance of specific Control Accounts within the project's control regime.
- Leading a small team of professional staff, overseeing their delivery and performance, providing appraisal, and supporting their development.
- Analysing root causes and proposing and delivering improvement projects.
- Adapting, applying, and developing project management practices in different circumstances and guiding others in their application.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge and experience in Project Management Methodologies and Project Controls.
- Understanding of the Defence & Security sector, specifically within Submarine Solutions.
- Security clearance: SC, ITAR, & UK EYES ONLY.
- Ability to work on-site at Barrow-in-Furness for 2 days per fortnight.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive evidenced based learning.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience of managing and appraising a team.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
