Our client, a leading company in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Titchfield, Hampshire. This is a permanent role within a business recognised globally for its leadership in aerospace fuel systems. The site is undergoing a significant transformation and will soon relocate to a newly constructed state-of-the-art facility in Daedalus, positioning itself as the Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate designs of aircraft fuel system products to meet customer requirements using 3D CAD (CREO)
- Complete tolerance line-ups, detailed drawings, DFMEAs, Engineering Change Requests, and Customer approval paperwork
- Participate in DFMA activities
- Investigate and resolve non-conformance requests, providing technical support and managing obsolescence
- Meet turnaround time goals for engineering activities impacting monthly business finances and customer delivery
- Provide clear documentation of changes required to address manufacturing and supplier issues
- Support the process of gaining customer approval for permanent design changes
- Sign off Non-conformance requests and detailed manufacturing drawings
- Present designs at design reviews, internally and with customers
- Attend assessments of Non-conformance requests and drawing change applications
Job Requirements:
- Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in a professional engineering environment, ideally in aerospace or a high technology industry
- Knowledge of electro/mechanical engineering, preferably related to aircraft fuel systems
- Familiarity with encapsulate products used on electrical/electronic components
