Our client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Highway Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on diverse projects for National Highways and Local Authorities, with the preferred location being Manchester, although remote working with occasional office visits is also possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing highway infrastructure projects including roads, signage, and barriers
- Utilising Civil3D for project modelling and design
- Implementing PDS Sign and Lines systems as required
- Conducting VRS and barrier assessments and installations
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful completion of projects
- Preparing detailed engineering reports and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Participating in site visits and assessments as necessary
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway engineering
- Proficiency in Civil3D software
- Knowledge of PDS Sign and Lines systems
- Understanding of VRS and barrier solutions
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and project management abilities
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
