Our client is currently seeking a skilled Drainage Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer with a strong background in highways and drainage design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing drainage solutions for highway projects
- Utilising software such as InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage for project delivery
- Preparing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
- Collaborating on projects for National Highways and Local Authorities, as well as some energy schemes
- Providing technical guidance and expertise on drainage design and implementation
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Managing and supervising on-site drainage activities
- Maintaining clear and effective communication with stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in highway drainage engineering
- Proficiency in InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage software
- Strong knowledge of preparing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)
- Experience working on projects for National Highways and Local Authorities
- Understanding of drainage standards and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
