I'm currently working with a well-established and highly respected training provider within the engineering sector to recruit an experienced Lead Internal Quality Assurer (IQA).

The Opportunity
As the Lead IQA, you'll take ownership of internal quality assurance across a broad range of engineering programmes.
You'll be responsible for ensuring that all assessment activities are robust, consistent, and compliant with awarding body standards, while also supporting and developing a team of IQAs, trainers, and assessors.
This is a key leadership role where you'll play a central part in driving quality improvement and embedding best practice across the provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead internal quality assurance processes across training and assessment delivery
- Ensure compliance with awarding organisations such as EAL, City & Guilds, ECITB, TWI, JTL (CompEx), and Pearson Edexcel
- Oversee standardisation activities and support continuous improvement
- Provide guidance and support to assessors, trainers, and IQAs
- Maintain integrity, fairness, and consistency in assessment decisions
What I'm Looking For
To be successful, you'll need:
- Proven experience in an IQA role within a training provider or education setting
- A recognised IQA qualification (e.g. Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance or equivalent)
- A teaching qualification
- Engineering qualifications to at least Level 3
- Strong understanding of awarding organisation requirements and EQA processes
- Experience leading standardisation and driving quality improvements
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and IT skills
- A solid engineering or technical background
