Our client is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join their automotive manufacturing team in Banbury on a contract basis. This role is ideally suited for an individual with strong hands-on inspection work on the shop floor.
This role is covering some long term sick leave they are looking for someone to come in and get things done.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate and complete audit trail, reviewing and auditing quality documentation.
- Support shop-floor inspection activities, assisting with verification and practical hands-on support.
- Conduct final inspection activities to ensure parts meet drawings/specifications prior to release.
- Raise and document non-conformances (NCRs) with clear written detail and strong traceability.
- Communicate inspection outcomes and quality concerns clearly to production and engineering stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings and work to defined standards and processes.
- Proficient in producing and maintaining high-quality documentation, including audit details, reports, and NCR write-ups.
- Practical and proactive attitude, comfortable being visible on the shop floor and supporting inspection activities.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of metrology and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Exposure to Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), though not required.
