Senior Procurement Engineer - 10 month contract - Warton Aerodrome, Lancashire - £33.24 ph UMB or £24.78 ph PAYE (Inside IR35)
The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). The Role
- As a senior procurement engineer, you will take responsibility for the management of the Supply Chain Capability Portal and associated key activities in keeping this topical and representative of current and future Air requirements.
- You will actively manage the Portal, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure we meet key Air business needs for specific products and capabilities.
- This role is central to ensuring market intelligence is up to date and available when required and supports Category and Supplier Managers to obtain the best total value for our internal and external expenditure, ensuring that Air can secure the optimal supplier base to meet long term business needs.
- This involves supporting the development of category and sub-category strategies and prioritising category programmes and plans, analysing and acting on spend data to identify opportunities, and contributing to internal and external capability and capacity building.
What are BAE Systems looking for from you?
- 3-5 Years' Experience in a defense or defense-relate industry, for example Automotive.
- Experience of the Category Management Process.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong excel and Tableau skills would be desirable
Security Requirements: SC
This role will require you to hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC). You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period.
