Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Requirements Engineer to support the development and maturation of system requirements across complex engineering projects. The successful candidate will work independently or as part of a small team and will engage with senior stakeholders to facilitate requirement definition, resolve technical queries, and coordinate proposed changes. This role requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and experience working within structured engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate the maturation and refinement of system requirements in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve findings, technical queries, and capture proposed requirement changes.
Arrange and participate in requirement-focused workshops and working groups involving multiple stakeholders.
Engage with senior technical leaders, including Chief Engineers, to resolve technical conflicts and achieve consensus on preferred solutions.
Conduct reviews, surveillance, and audits to confirm that engineering assumptions, data, analysis methodologies, and interpretation of results have been appropriately validated.
Ensure stakeholder requirements are adequately supported and incorporated into engineering solutions where appropriate and agreed.
Contribute to continuous improvement of systems engineering and requirements management processes.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential:
Extensive experience in systems engineering and requirements management.
Proven ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.
Strong stakeholder engagement and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience facilitating technical workshops and working groups.
Proficiency with IBM DOORS Classic.
Desirable:
Experience working within a maritime or naval engineering environment.
Knowledge of engineering assurance, validation, and audit processes.
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation is desirable.
