Leading global technology and consulting firm, is currently seeking a Risk Manager to join their team in London on an initial 16-month Fixed Term Contract. This role is integral to a recently secured 7-year project working with a major transportation client, focused on establishing and maintaining a comprehensive Risk Management Framework for the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and fulfilling risk management obligations as outlined in the contract
- Developing and maintaining the Project Risk Management Plan and Risk Register
- Conducting quantitative risk analysis to evaluate potential impacts on project timelines and budgets
- Designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies aligning with client protocols and contractual requirements
- Preparing monthly risk reports for senior management and the client
- Leading regular risk review workshops with workstream leads and clients
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 31000 and contractual risk management requirements
- Monitoring subcontractor risk performance and ensuring adherence to obligations
- Supporting claims and dispute resolution with risk-based evidence
- Acting as the primary risk liaison for the client's Risk Manager and internal teams
- Training project staff on risk awareness tools and best practices
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, IT, or a related discipline
- Professional qualification or certification in risk management, such as:
- IRM Certificate or Diploma (Institute of Risk Management)
- APM Project Risk Management Qualification (PRAMQ)
- RMP: Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) certification
- MoR (Management of Risk) certification
- Extensive experience managing risks in large, complex rail, construction, or infrastructure projects
