About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Test Technician to join an innovative and rapidly growing aerospace manufacturer based in Titchfield. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation as it prepares to transition into a brand-new, purpose-built facility.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the testing and validation of mechanical valve components, ensuring all products meet stringent aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pressure and fuel testing on mechanical valves using specialised test rigs
- Perform leak detection, identifying both internal and external leaks
- Set up and operate fuel test environments safely, following all PPE and safety requirements
- Measure and verify torque requirements and pressure flow rates
- Carry out shimming and component adjustments to achieve correct cracking pressure
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and written test procedures accurately
- Record and report test results in line with company standards
- Identify and log non-conformances using the internal database
- Follow DESAR working practices and contribute to 5S/TPM continuous improvement activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working with pressure and/or fuel test rigs
- Knowledge of mechanical valve testing within a manufacturing or aerospace environment
- Ability to detect and troubleshoot leaks and performance issues
- Understanding of torque settings, pressure systems, and flow rate measurement
- Experience in shimming and fine adjustment processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Awareness of non-conformance processes and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Eligibility Requirements
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
- Must be eligible to comply with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations)
Working Hours (After training)
Early Shift:
Monday to Thursday: 06:00 - 14:00
Friday: 06:00 - 13:30
Shift Allowance: +10%
Or
Late Shift:
Monday to Thursday: 14:00 - 23:45
No Friday working
Shift Allowance: +20%
Pay
First 12 Weeks (PAYE - Holiday Pay Option)
- Basic: £18.13 (or £20.77 including holiday pay)
- Overtime: £27.20 (or £31.15 including holiday pay)
- Sundays: £36.26 (or £41.54 including holiday pay)
- Early Shift: £19.94 (or £22.84 including holiday pay)
- Late Shift: £21.76 (or £24.92 including holiday pay)
After 12 Weeks
- Basic: £18.68 (or £21.40 including holiday pay)
- Overtime: £28.03 (or £32.10 including holiday pay)
- Sundays: £37.37 (or £42.80 including holiday pay)
- Early Shift: £20.55 (or £23.54 including holiday pay)
- Late Shift: £22.42 (or £25.68 including holiday pay)
