Senior Portfolio Assurance & Governance Lead
Summary:
Senior leadership role focused on driving governance, assurance, and portfolio oversight across complex programmes, ensuring effective delivery, risk management, and value realisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead assurance activities (health checks, stage gates, deep dives)
- Oversee governance processes with clear, evidence-based reporting
- Challenge senior stakeholders and support informed decision-making
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and RAID accuracy
- Provide financial insight, forecasting, and portfolio analysis
- Drive continuous improvement of governance and portfolio practices
Requirements:
- Strong experience in senior PMO / Portfolio / Assurance roles
- Expertise in governance frameworks and delivery environments
- Proven leadership, stakeholder influence, and analytical skills
Desirable:
- Experience in Centre of Excellence models
- Public sector or complex environments
- Relevant certifications (APM, MSP, P3O)
