WTG Transport & Installation Package Manager

Location: Hybrid (London/Swindon/Home Base)

Contract Length: 12 months initially

Start Date: August / September

Rate: Outside IR35

Overview

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Package Manager to lead the transport and installation of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) on a major offshore wind project.

You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of WTG installation works, managing programme, budget, and quality in line with industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the transport and installation of WTGs to meet project programme and budget targets
  • Manage transport and installation contracts, supporting negotiation and ongoing performance
  • Develop and maintain package schedules, budgets and risk registers
  • Interface with internal teams and external stakeholders including contractors and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure strong HSE performance and compliance with offshore construction standards
  • Report progress to project leadership in line with governance requirements
  • Drive delivery through effective coordination within a multi-disciplinary project environment

Requirements

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Marine Logistics, Renewable Energy or related field
  • Proven experience delivering offshore wind projects, specifically WTG transport and installation
  • Strong knowledge of offshore construction, vessel logistics and installation methodologies
  • Experience managing offshore contracts and vessel chartering
  • Strong understanding of HSE regulations, including offshore compliance standards
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work within complex, matrix project teams
  • Willingness to travel and work offshore when required

Key Deliverable

  • Successful delivery of safe and efficient WTG transport and installation across the project lifecycle

  • Monday to Friday working pattern
  • 40 hour working week
  • Blended office and project based working environment
