Our client is seeking a skilled Highway Inspector to join their team on a contract basis in the Leicestershire region, specifically Northern Leicestershire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine and ad-hoc inspections of highways and related infrastructure
- Identifying and documenting defects or potential hazards in the highways
- Ensuring compliance with relevant safety and maintenance standards
- Preparing detailed reports based on inspections and findings
- Collaborating with maintenance teams to prioritise and address issues
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections and completed works
- Liaising with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Driving to various locations within North Leicestershire for inspections
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway inspection or related field
- Proficient understanding of highways maintenance and safety standards
- Ability to use own vehicle with mileage compensation offered
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Relevant qualification or certification in highways inspection is desirable
