About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to support our Washington site and two Ranges teams. Working collaboratively with the wider HR function, you will partner with business leaders to develop and deliver people strategies that align with organisational objectives. This is a strategic and operational role, requiring strong stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and the ability to influence at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Partnering with the Washington site and two Ranges teams, working closely with the wider HR function.
- Contributing to the development of the business People Strategy and supporting People Plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Translating business requirements into effective HR solutions and ensuring successful implementation of enterprise-wide HR initiatives.
- Providing market and business insights to support the development and delivery of people strategies.
- Working collaboratively with Centres of Excellence (CoEs), HR Shared Services and external providers to ensure effective delivery of HR services.
- Coordinating HR resources across the business to deliver the People Plan efficiently and effectively.
- Providing professional advice, guidance and coaching to managers and senior leaders on employee relations, organisational change, performance management, talent, engagement and other people-related matters.
- Ensuring all HR activities are delivered in line with company policies, employment legislation and best practice.
- Supporting change management initiatives and driving continuous improvement across HR processes.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Degree qualified in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Minimum of five years' HR Business Partnering or generalist HR experience.
- Experience of translating business objectives into practical HR solutions.
- Proven ability to deliver HR initiatives within agreed budgets and timescales.
- Strong employee relations experience within a unionised environment.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.
Desirable
- Previous HR experience within an engineering, manufacturing or project-based environment.
- Experience supporting organisational change and transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
