Our client, a leading entity in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Inspector - Electrical to join their permanent team. This role is integral to ensuring that manufactured items conform to identified quality, technical, and dimensional requirements, including workmanship standards. This position is crucial for maintaining high-quality standards and reporting non-compliances in accordance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that products passing through the Electrical Quality Control inspection function
- Report on the conformance of Electrical Assemblies
- Participate in root cause analysis and assist in improvement activities to promote 'Right First Time'
- Support the manufacturing team in achieving high standards of quality output
- Attend and contribute to relevant production meetings
- Work closely with the QA team to meet customer requirements
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes
- Inspect piece parts, electrical and cable assemblies, and completed assemblies
- Conduct 'Pre-closure' line and roving inspections for conformance to specifications, including workmanship standards
- Record non-conformances using in-house processes and log inspection statuses as required
Job Requirements:
- Experience in inspection and quality control within the Aerospace or Defence Industry
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, technical specifications, wiring schedules, schematics, and circuit diagrams
- Knowledge of IPC620 and 610 standards
- Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative, and a team player
- Excellent communication, numeracy, and literacy skills
- Flexible approach with the ability to work well under pressure
