Weld Preparation Operative
Location: Lakeside, Redditch
Hours: 7:00am-3:45pm Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-12:00pm Friday (38 hours per week)
Pay: £14.45 per hour, rising to £16.06 per hour after training
Contract: Temp-to-Perm or Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Reports To: Production Supervisor
We are looking for a Weld Preparation Operative to join our established aerospace manufacturing team in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and friendly environment with training, progression opportunities, and a pay increase upon successful completion of training.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing, polishing and cleaning welded tube assemblies
- Packing and protecting finished components
- Following quality and safety procedures
- Supporting general production duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Good attention to detail and ability to work to quality standards
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
- Eligible to comply with ITAR regulations
