Our client, a prominent entity in the technology sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Project Co-Ordinator to join their team on a contract basis. This essential role involves supporting IT Project Managers in the successful management and delivery of IT projects and programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Updating detailed project plans and assisting IT Project Managers with re-planning tasks as needed.
  • Supporting plan management including task progress updates and reporting.
  • Assisting in the configuration and change management processes, ensuring timely completion of review cycles.
  • Participating in internal stand-ups, sprint ceremonies, and checkpoints, and deputising when necessary.
  • Ensuring efficient and effective use of KANBAN boards by all task-based resources.
  • Collating and maintaining internal progress and RAID logs, ensuring regular updates and governance.
  • Supporting Quality Gateway management, including the preparation of assessments and governance meetings.
  • Taking minutes at internal governance meetings and maintaining action logs.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a programme environment, ideally within a PMO function or reporting to a Project Manager.
  • Proficiency in supply-side project management, including change and RAID management.
  • Excellent report writing and information management skills.
  • Experience working with public sector stakeholders and external resources such as clients and suppliers.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced projects with fixed go-live dates.

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

  • Intermediate/advanced skills in Smartsheet and/or MS Project.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, including macros and Pivot tables.
  • Intermediate skills in MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Jira KANBAN or other digital KANBAN tools.
  • Good working knowledge of software, integration, and hosting technologies such as Azure and IaaS.

Qualifications/Certifications:

  • Degree educated, preferably in a technical subject.
  • Practitioner in a recognised project management qualification or accrediting body (PRINCE2, APM, PMI).
