Our client, a prominent organisation within the technology sector, is seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to join their Estates Intelligence division on a contract basis. This division specialises in empowering clients to make well-informed decisions regarding the operational and strategic management of their estates and asset portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the detailed plan and ensure that critical paths of multiple projects are maintained.
- Perform detailed planning and re-planning, including task progress updating and reporting.
- Ensure all products are managed per configuration and change management processes.
- Lead internal standups, sprint ceremonies, and checkpoints, and escalate as necessary.
- Manage and report on the RAID log and assist in quality gateway management.
- Impact assess changes using modelling to forecast impacts to the plan.
- Manage communications and correspondence with internal teams, external suppliers, and clients.
- Oversee the overall project change process.
Job Requirements:
- Experience of managing large, complex plans, including those across 12 months or longer durations.
- Proven delivery experience in both waterfall and agile environments.
- Ability to lead standups with experienced delivery teams and developers.
- Experience managing multiple projects within a programme environment.
- Knowledge of supply-side project management and public sector stakeholders.
- Background in working on fast-paced projects with fixed go-live dates.
- Experience managing a project coordinator or junior project manager.
- Intermediate/Advanced skills in Smartsheet and/or MS Project.
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
- Intermediate MS Excel knowledge, including macros and Pivot tables.
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint.
- Experience with Jira KANBAN or other digital KANBAN.
- Working knowledge of software, integration, and hosting technologies (Azure and IaaS virtualised).
Qualifications:
- Degree educated, preferably in a technical subject (desirable).
- Practitioner in a recognised PM qualification or accrediting body (PRINCE2, APM, PMI) (essential).
- Certified SCRUM Master (desirable).
