Our client, a prominent organisation within the technology sector, is seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to join their Estates Intelligence division on a contract basis. This division specialises in empowering clients to make well-informed decisions regarding the operational and strategic management of their estates and asset portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the detailed plan and ensure that critical paths of multiple projects are maintained.
  • Perform detailed planning and re-planning, including task progress updating and reporting.
  • Ensure all products are managed per configuration and change management processes.
  • Lead internal standups, sprint ceremonies, and checkpoints, and escalate as necessary.
  • Manage and report on the RAID log and assist in quality gateway management.
  • Impact assess changes using modelling to forecast impacts to the plan.
  • Manage communications and correspondence with internal teams, external suppliers, and clients.
  • Oversee the overall project change process.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience of managing large, complex plans, including those across 12 months or longer durations.
  • Proven delivery experience in both waterfall and agile environments.
  • Ability to lead standups with experienced delivery teams and developers.
  • Experience managing multiple projects within a programme environment.
  • Knowledge of supply-side project management and public sector stakeholders.
  • Background in working on fast-paced projects with fixed go-live dates.
  • Experience managing a project coordinator or junior project manager.
  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in Smartsheet and/or MS Project.

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

  • Intermediate MS Excel knowledge, including macros and Pivot tables.
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Jira KANBAN or other digital KANBAN.
  • Working knowledge of software, integration, and hosting technologies (Azure and IaaS virtualised).

Qualifications:

  • Degree educated, preferably in a technical subject (desirable).
  • Practitioner in a recognised PM qualification or accrediting body (PRINCE2, APM, PMI) (essential).
  • Certified SCRUM Master (desirable).
