Our client, a prominent entity in the technology sector, is currently seeking a contract Business Analyst to join their dynamic multi-disciplinary technology team. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting the mobilisation of a key programme, Viaverse delivery, reporting to the Process and Data Change Manager. The successful analyst will have ownership of business and functional requirement capture and lifecycle traceability management across mobilisation streams, liaising with key stakeholders within the client unit, external suppliers, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Process and Data Change Manager by ensuring contractual requirements are captured, coded, and categorised using the MoSCoW method in a requirements catalogue.
  • Leading client stakeholder engagements to resolve requirement clarifications, ensuring clear deliverables.
  • Defining detailed process flow diagrams to support client requirements for transactional service delivery.
  • Assisting in defining and controlling a supporting data dictionary that aligns with the flows and functional requirements.
  • Documenting functional requirements throughout their lifecycle, ensuring traceability back to the requirements catalogue.
  • Ensuring requirements traceability during development and working closely with developers to validate technical outputs.
  • Ensuring requirements traceability during testing, working alongside the test team to validate test coverage against client requirements.
  • Managing the handover of requirements to BAU teams, ensuring all artefacts are transitioned to live support configuration.
  • Supporting the Process and Data Change Manager in providing inputs into Quality Readiness Gateways, where requirements and functional outputs are critical.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working on large-scale, multi-organisation mobilisation programmes.
  • Proven track record of developing complex contractual requirements into a traceable catalogue, managing these throughout design, development, and test phases.
  • Experience managing client workshops and resolving requirements ambiguities or gaps.
  • Experience delivering within both client-side and supplier-side public sector environments.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of SQL database software (MRI Evolution is preferred but not essential).
  • Proficiency in using MS Visio to create and maintain complex transactional flows.

Qualifications/Certifications Requirements:

  • Degree educated, preferably in a technical subject.
  • Recognised Business Analyst accreditation.
