Our client, a leading player in the data centre sector, is currently seeking a General Operative to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves overseeing site safety and operations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the overall cleanliness of the site, ensuring that all areas are tidy and free of hazards
- Monitoring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by team members and ensuring compliance
- Ensuring that safety signs are properly displayed and visible at all times
- Actively maintaining site safety standards and procedures
- Performing routine inspections and maintaining a visible presence on-site
- Sitting in a designated area to oversee operations and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Participating in a three-day training course to be disclosed prior to the start date
Job Requirements:
- Experience in an operative role, ideally within the data centre sector
- Understanding of site safety procedures and standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously
- Willingness to participate in the required training course
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and the ability to report issues effectively
