Our client is currently seeking a Transport Planner for a remote working contract position based in Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing transport plans and strategies
- Collaborating with local authorities on town centre and active travel projects
- Conducting transport assessments and feasibility studies
- Using LinSIG and Junctions software for traffic modelling and analysis
- Creating detailed business cases and reports for various transport projects
- Providing expert advice on parking and strategic transport development
- Engaging with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Utilising own licences and IT equipment
Job Requirements:
- Experience in transport planning
- Proficiency with LinSIG and Junctions software
- Strong understanding of transport strategy development and active travel initiatives
- Ability to work independently and manage remote work effectively
- Own licences and IT equipment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Flexible approach to working hours and contract terms
- Ability to produce detailed and accurate business cases and reports
