Our client is currently seeking a Transport Planner for a remote working contract position based in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing transport plans and strategies
  • Collaborating with local authorities on town centre and active travel projects
  • Conducting transport assessments and feasibility studies
  • Using LinSIG and Junctions software for traffic modelling and analysis
  • Creating detailed business cases and reports for various transport projects
  • Providing expert advice on parking and strategic transport development
  • Engaging with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
  • Utilising own licences and IT equipment

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in transport planning
  • Proficiency with LinSIG and Junctions software
  • Strong understanding of transport strategy development and active travel initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote work effectively
  • Own licences and IT equipment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours and contract terms
  • Ability to produce detailed and accurate business cases and reports
