Our client is seeking Data Business Analysts to support their transformation programme delivery, with a focus on source-to-target mapping, data quality, and stakeholder-led validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce attribute-level source-to-target mappings (clear lineage, transformations, traceability)
- Interpret ERDs and logical/physical data models to inform mapping and analysis
- Use SQL to interrogate datasets, assess data quality, and validate joins/mapping logic
- Investigate data issues raised in test cycles and propose remediation with engineering/QA
- Work with data contracts, APIs and event streams to ensure accurate interpretation and end-to-end lineage
- Write development-ready user stories from epics, with clear acceptance criteria
- Support solution design and delivery within a multi-disciplinary Agile team
- Facilitate stakeholder sessions and support UAT through to sign-off
- Track progress, provide updates, and align day-to-day with the Lead Data BA
About you
- Strong experience producing source-to-target mappings at attribute level
- Strong SQL (analysis, data quality checks, join validation)
- Confident with data models (ERD/logical/physical)
- Working knowledge of APIs, event streams and data contracts
- Comfortable in Agile/SCRUM and writing clear user stories/acceptance criteria
- Clear communicator, proactive, ownership-focused, collaborative

- Contract: 6 months
- Rate: up to £600 per day
- Location: Fareham (remote, with travel to site as needed)
- IR35: Inside IR35
