Site Manager (Kotka, Finland)
Overview
We're supporting a contractor on a data centre delivery programme and are looking for an experienced Site Manager with strong automation / controls installation exposure to manage day-to-day site activities in Kotka, Finland. This is an on-site contract requirement with multiple openings (4).
Key Responsibilities
- Own site delivery for MEP/controls-related scopes, ensuring works are executed safely, to spec, and to programme.
- Manage and sequence specialist subcontractors, including BMS, SCADA, low-voltage controls and structured cabling trades.
- Oversee detailed installation activities and coordinate interfaces across MEP and construction teams.
- Drive quality assurance on-site, including support through Level 1-3 testing (pre-functional checks, inspections, sign-off readiness).
- Maintain accurate site reporting and administration, including strong Excel-based tracking (snag/punch, progress, ITPs, test packs, materials, labour).
- Ensure compliance with all H&S requirements, method statements, permits, and safe systems of work.
- Support project leadership with lookaheads, risk/issues escalation, and delivery planning.
Required Experience / Background
- 5+ years managing data centre or high-tech MEP installations (EU project exposure preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of:
- BMS / SCADA environments
- Low-voltage control systems
- Testing & QA processes through Level 1-3
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and deliver to programme.
- Strong Excel/admin capability and structured site documentation.
Qualifications (preferred)
- SMSTS / CSCS Black Card (or region-specific H&S equivalent for Finland/EU).
- Degree in Engineering / Construction Management or equivalent hands-on experience.
