The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Planner to take ownership of establishing, maintaining, and managing robust project planning controls and reporting systems across multiple active developments.

Key Responsibilities
Baseline Scheduling: Establish master baseline schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project in accordance with company procedures, industry best practices, and client specifications.
Schedule Management: Create and communicate clear project delivery schedules using structured schedule hierarchies to ensure the wider project team remains aligned.
Lifecycle Programming: Develop tailored, integrated templates and model programmes covering the key stages of project delivery: Pre-construction, Construction, and Commissioning.
Detailed Planning: Map out comprehensive schedules spanning design, procurement, installation, and final project close-out.
Subcontractor Integration: Seamlessly incorporate trade contractors' individual schedules into the overarching company programme hierarchy.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for all scheduling and project control matters, liaising effectively with internal teams, clients, design partners, and subcontractors.
Progress Tracking & KPIs: Manage progress reporting workflows, design weekly/monthly performance dashboards, and monitor key project KPIs.
Change Control & Claims: Actively participate in the change management process to assess programme impacts. Prepare detailed time impact analyses to support Extension of Time (EOT) claims, and critically evaluate incoming claims from subcontractors.
Commissioning: Construct and manage dedicated commissioning programmes, developing specific KPIs and reporting structures to ensure a smooth handover.
Mentorship: Support the growth of the wider team by mentoring and training junior planning staff.
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements:
A solid background in construction planning specifically within Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Building Services contracting.
Proven experience utilizing MS Project to a high level (experience with Primavera P6 is highly advantageous).
Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the natural ability to converse confidently with clients, stakeholders, and site teams.
A self-motivated approach, with the ability to work on your own initiative and deliver to tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related construction discipline.
Prior experience working as an M&E Planner on High-End Residential or Commercial building services projects.
