Our client, engaged in delivering major highway projects, is currently seeking a Resident Engineer / Site Supervisor to join their team for a Road Scheme in Co Tipperary, Ireland. This exciting 4.5km road construction project has 12 months remaining, with a start date at the end of July or beginning of August. This role is offered as a fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension on other projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the works on behalf of the Employer's team
- Work with the Employer's Representative and other site team members
- Respond to contract RFI's, Material Acceptances, Testing Certificates, etc.
- Inspect critical work items, issue NCR's, and sign-off on completed works
- Support the Senior Resident Engineer in preparing monthly contractor payment valuations
- Assist in responding to contract claims and other dispute items
- Attend monthly contractor progress meetings
Job Requirements:
- Experience as a Site Supervisor, particularly in highway projects
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and Irish Public Works (or UK equivalent)
- Previous experience in road construction projects
- Ability to supervise and work with a team of engineers
- Strong communication and organisational skills
