Our client, operating in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a proficient Scrum Master to join their dynamic team. This is a 12-month contract position located at Warton Aerodrome, requiring on-site presence 3-4 days per week. This opportunity places you at the forefront of modern technology, working on the Dreadnought project with a dedicated team of like-minded professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders to refine and maintain a well-defined product backlog.
  • Remove impediments to keep the development team focused and productive, guiding them to solutions when necessary.
  • Utilise data to identify areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assess and coach the team towards higher levels of Scrum maturity at a sustainable pace.
  • Foster a trusting and psychologically safe environment where issues can be raised without fear of blame.

Job Requirements:

  • Certified Scrum Master certification.
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean/Agile/Traditional methodologies.
  • Proficiency with toolsets such as Atlassian suite, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong leadership behaviours, capable of managing 2 Scrum teams of low to medium complexity.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Understanding and experience of using appropriate metrics for monitoring team performance.

Qualifications:

  • PSM1/CSM Qualifications or relevant experience (desirable).
  • APM qualification or similar (desirable).
