Our client BAE Systems, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking an Improvement Engineering Lead to join their team in Samlesbury. This contract role, operating inside IR35, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a prestigious project within the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing engineering improvement projects within the manufacturing domain
- Developing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity
- Identifying and analysing performance bottlenecks, proposing innovative solutions to address them
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements within the Defence & Security sector
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to team members and stakeholders
- Preparing detailed reports and presentations on project progress and outcomes
- Ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and objectives
Job Requirements:
- Experience in an engineering role within the manufacturing industry, preferably within Defence & Security or aerospace
- Proven ability to lead and manage projects, driving operational improvements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose innovative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to work full-time on-site in Samlesbury
- Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience
