We're partnering with a fast-growing engineering and technology business that delivers complex projects across the UK and internationally. As part of its continued growth, the business is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead resource planning, supplier performance, procurement coordination and operational mobilisation across a diverse project portfolio.

This is a high-impact role where your ability to ensure the right people, equipment, materials and suppliers are in the right place at the right time will be critical to business success.

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of the company's resource planning and supply chain strategy, working closely with operational, engineering and project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, capacity planning, supplier performance and continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage company-wide resource planning processes.
  • Optimise deployment of engineers, site managers, supervisors and specialist resources.
  • Forecast demand, identify capacity gaps and support workforce planning.
  • Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships.
  • Source, evaluate and onboard new suppliers.
  • Coordinate procurement activity to support project delivery.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and deliver value for money.
  • Manage logistics, equipment hire and mobilisation activities.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs and implement improvement plans.
  • Produce management reports covering utilisation, capacity, forecasting and supplier performance.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks relating to resources, logistics and supply chain constraints.
  • Drive collaboration across operational, technical and project teams.

About You

We're looking for a highly organised and commercially aware professional with experience in complex operational environments.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in resource planning, workforce scheduling or operational planning.
  • Experience managing supply chain, procurement or subcontractor relationships.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience using planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
  • The ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.

Additional Information

  • Hybrid working arrangement, typically office-based Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • National travel required.
  • Occasional international travel may be required.
  • Salary circa £80,000 plus benefits package.
