Our client, a renowned player in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking skilled Manufacturing Engineer's to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working in the Assembly and Test area, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing processes and a good grasp of LAIRS (Layered Assembly Instructions and Requirements) and FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) processes.
Contract Details:
- Contract length: until end Feb 2027
- Multiple opportunities available
- Payment term: PAYE only
- Rates: DOE
- Accural or advanced holiday payment options
- Standard 37hrs per week
- Monday to Friday, with early finish Fridays
- Onsite full -time
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and coordinating manufacturing processes within the Assembly and Test areas
- Implementing and maintaining LAIRS and FAIRs processes
- Ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations
- Identifying and resolving production-related issues
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimise manufacturing operations
- Creating and updating manufacturing documentation and work instructions
- Conducting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency
- Providing technical support and guidance to the production team
Job Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly within the aerospace sector
- Understanding of LAIRS and FAIRs processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
- Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
