Our client, a leader in cutting-edge technology solutions for the defence and security sector, is seeking a highly skilled RF Design Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects aimed at enhancing national security and defence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, simulate, and implement RF and analogue electronic circuits and systems for defence-related projects, including electromagnetic warfare
  • Conduct hands-on integration, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of RF and analogue electronic circuits to optimise performance
  • Participate in design reviews, providing valuable technical input to enhance project outcomes
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality technical documentation and reports
  • Provide technical support to the Technical Lead and contribute to risk management processes
  • Mentor and provide feedback to junior engineers to support their professional growth
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, both within and outside the project team

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in RF design engineering
  • Proficiency in using Microwave Office and Altium for RF performance modelling and PCB circuit layout design
  • Experience in designing RF solutions with very low SWaP-C (Size, Weight and Power, and Cost)
  • Knowledge of RF design for harsh environments (EMC, vibration, thermal)
  • Experience with spectrum analysers, vector analysers, power meters, signal generators, filters, switches, receivers, and power supplies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification

Due to the nature of this position, you must be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC clearance and then DV clearance. To qualify, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV.
