BAE Systems is currently seeking a Lead Project Planner to join their team on a contract basis in Barrow. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a project that plays a crucial role in national security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules
- Tracking project performance, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope
- Identifying and managing project risks and issues
- Communicating project status to stakeholders and senior management
- Ensuring compliance with project management methodologies and standards
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the planning process
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives
Job Requirements:
- Experience in planning, monitoring, and control within a defence or security context
- Experience with Primavera P6
- Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Understanding of project risk management
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification

- Contract duration: 12 months
- Location: Barrow with full-time onsite requirement or minimum 4 days on site
