BAE Systems is currently seeking a Lead Project Planner to join their team on a contract basis in Barrow. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a project that plays a crucial role in national security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules
  • Tracking project performance, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope
  • Identifying and managing project risks and issues
  • Communicating project status to stakeholders and senior management
  • Ensuring compliance with project management methodologies and standards
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the planning process
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in planning, monitoring, and control within a defence or security context
  • Experience with Primavera P6
  • Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of project risk management
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification

Further Details:

  • Contract duration: 12 months
  • Location: Barrow with full-time onsite requirement or minimum 4 days on site
  • Position available: 2 headcount
