Mulitiple Contract Opportunities for Lead Engineers with proven OEM Automotive experience.

This roles are pivotal in overseeing and guiding sub system engineers and will be responsible for deliverables for all all aspects of defined components and systems.

Roles include: Cockpit, Cabin Trim,Exterior Trim, Doors & Closures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering ownership of given commodities
  • Delivering given commodities on time, on cost, and to engineering specifications
  • Establishing and planning teamwork initiatives
  • Following up on actions and ensuring progress
  • Publishing minutes from meetings
  • Achieving engineering sub-system objectives and targets
  • Meeting programme timing objectives
  • Communicating team progress to management
  • Applying APQP for system/component delivery management
  • Supporting vehicle builds with necessary parts
  • Resolving engineering issues or escalating them to the Module Leader if needed
  • Identifying and managing programme risks
  • Maturing components and subsystems as per project plans

Job Requirements:


Essential:

  • Proven project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery on time and budget within a product development environment
  • Engineering knowledge of defined components/system design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels
  • Proficiency in PC tools like Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Significant experience in using engineering tools such as FMEA, Six Sigma, and problem resolution
  • Successful delivery track record in the automotive product development sector
  • Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience


Preferred:

  • CAD literacy with the ability to manipulate and interrogate CAD data and use associated visualisation tools
  • Ability to generate CAD data in Catia v5/6
  • Working knowledge of project delivery processes, e.g., PPAP
