SHEQ Divisional Director
Our client is seeking an experienced SHEQ Divisional Director to lead their safety, health, environment, and quality operations within the power utilities sector. This is a permanent position that involves overseeing major projects and DNO frameworks, with a focus on ensuring compliance and excellence in SHEQ standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing SHEQ strategies for the power division
- Managing SHEQ activities across major projects and DNO frameworks
- Reporting into the SHEQ Director and ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives
- Leading and mentoring a team of SHEQ professionals
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in projects ranging from 11kV to 132kV
- Conducting regular audits and inspections to enforce SHEQ standards
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and quality
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives in SHEQ practices
Job Requirements:
- Experience in health & safety management, particularly within power utilities and distribution
- Strong understanding of ICP and DNO operations
- Proficiency in managing projects of capacities from 11kV to 132kV
- NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma, minmum.
- Bachelor or Masters in Occupational Health & Safety
- TECHIOSH or CMIOSH - Desirable
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective SHEQ strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, environment, and quality
