Our client, a leading engineering consultancy in the highways sector, is currently seeking a CAD Technician to join their multi-disciplinary team based in St Albans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting teams to deliver a variety of exciting and interesting projects
- Producing accurate and appropriate engineering drawings and models efficiently
- Collaborating with colleagues to find innovative solutions for clients
- Utilising proficiency in AutoCAD and potentially other CAD software to support project outcomes
- Maintaining good communication with team members and other stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Minimum HNC or equivalent in a relevant technical subject
- Experience in industry, notably in the highways or related sectors
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other CAD software such as Microstation, Revit, and Civil 3D
- Ability to produce detailed engineering drawings and models
- Good communication skills to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with ProjectWise or other Common Data Environments
- Professional recognition, such as EngTech or membership in a professional institution
- Experience in sectors including structures, drainage, geotechnical, and civils, particularly within rail, highways, and power and energy sectors
- Knowledge of additional software, such as AutoCAD (2D/3D), Civils 3D, Revit Structures, Microstation PowerDraft, OpenBuildings Designer
