Our client, a prominent player in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Highways and Active Travel Engineer to join their busy team. Predominantly engaged in local authority projects with some Section 278 work, the team is experiencing high demand due to the temporary absence of two directors. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing infrastructure projects, focusing on active travel and urban design
- Utilising Civil 3D for both 2D and 3D design requirements
- Collaborating closely with local authorities to ensure successful project delivery
- Managing and overseeing sub-drainage engineering tasks
- Contributing to Section 278 agreements and related design activities
- Potentially overseeing workload as a contract Principal Engineer/consultant if required
- Ensuring project designs comply with current standards and regulations
- Working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
Job Requirements:
- Experience in infrastructure and active travel/urban design engineering
- Proficiency in Civil 3D for detailed design work
- Strong understanding of local authority project requirements and regulations
- Ability to manage sub-drainage engineering aspects
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
