Our client, a well-established engineering organisation, is seeking a Senior Civil Structural Engineer to join their team. This role involves delivering complex infrastructure projects across the rail and energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of civil and structural engineering projects from concept through to construction.
- Undertake the design of rail ancillary structures and associated civil engineering assets.
- Prepare and review calculations, technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Carry out structural analysis and design in accordance with relevant industry standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Attend design reviews and contribute to value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project planning, programme management, and resource allocation activities.
Job Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Proven experience delivering civil and/or structural engineering designs.
- Experience within rail infrastructure, civil engineering, or structural building design environments.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis, design principles, and relevant UK design standards.
- Experience using industry-standard structural design software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage technical delivery on multiple projects.
