Our client, a prominent player in the water sector, is currently seeking a Site Agent with civil engineering expertise to join their team on a contract basis. This role is vital in ensuring the successful management and execution of construction projects related to water systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with key alliance partners and subcontractors
- Organise and manage systems of work for your allocated discipline, including the management of relevant supply chain
- Develop programmes and forecast budgets with the Senior Agent
- Assess actual programme and productivity achieved, preparing reports for weekly and monthly reviews
- Manage supply chain contract conditions and responsibilities, working closely with the commercial team
- Requisition resources in a timely manner
- Reconcile planned versus actual resources for weekly reports
- Complete inspection and test plans, risk assessments, and method statements
- Ensure overall quality management and assurance of the project, including handover to the client
- Work closely with the QS and Commercial Team to capture and communicate changes and issues
- Identify key risks and opportunities, formulating recovery strategies where possible
- Manage budgets, including regular Bottom-Up Forecasts and change items
- Maintain comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works
- Lead safety, health, and wellbeing initiatives across all responsible works
- Keep a full and accurate daily site diary
- Manage, supervise and mentor site and assistant engineers
- Review performance, training, and development needs of direct reports
- Adhere to client policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Civil Engineering related qualification
- SMSTS Certification
- Relevant CSCS Card
- CPCS Lifting Appointed Person qualification
- Understanding of engineering principles
- Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices
- Knowledge of construction contract law and forms of contract
- Current clean driver's licence
- Effective communication skills
