Our client, a pivotal player in the rail industry, is currently seeking a Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM) to join their projects team on a contract basis. This role involves working on significant Network Rail projects and provides an opportunity to deliver impactful work within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing engineering activities to ensure they meet Network Rail standards
  • Managing and coordinating the engineering aspects of construction projects
  • Providing technical guidance and support across various projects
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Coordinating with project teams to accomplish construction goals with contractors, designers and stakeholders
  • Identifying potential technical issues and implementing effective solutions
  • Manage technical risk, change an engineering issues
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Fostering a strong safety culture within the engineering team

Job Requirements:

  • Experience as a Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM) in the rail sector
  • Background in civil engineering, with a strong understanding of construction processes
  • Experience with Network Rail standards and requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage engineering projects from inception to completion
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Understanding of IR35 regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline
