Our client, a renowned consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer. This is a contract position, and our client offers this opportunity at multiple office locations throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and delivering civil engineering projects within the water sector
- Managing project teams and ensuring the timely completion of deliverables
- Providing technical oversight and guidance on both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
- Developing and reviewing detailed civil engineering designs, including specifications and calculations
- Collaborating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and relevant regulations
- Participating in project meetings and presenting technical information
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in civil engineering within the water sector
- Strong knowledge of civil design principles and relevant software
- Proven track record in leading engineering projects from inception to completion
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Understanding of IR35 regulations and working within its framework
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
