Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking an Engineer for their Strategic Projects - Software Factory on a contract basis. The role is essential to the smooth operation and development of innovative IT software solutions and will be based in New Malden, Broad Oak, or Frimley. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are adept in IT Software within the context of strategic defence projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of software solutions for strategic projects
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met
- Participating in the testing and validation of software applications
- Ensuring compliance with security protocols including BPSS and SC
- Providing technical documentation and support as required
- Working on an adhoc basis, not exceeding one day per week
Job Requirements:
- Experience in IT software development and implementation
- Understanding of software testing and validation processes
- Familiarity with security requirements in the Defence & Security sector
- Ability to work collaboratively in a project-based environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work on an adhoc basis
- Eligibility for BPSS and SC security clearances
