Our client, a leading consultancy within the construction sector, is currently seeking a Senior Planner for complex construction projects. This contract role focuses on early-stage PMO setup environments and works within diverse sectors including pharmaceutical, airports, data centres, and buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing planning governance, procedures, and processes during early project conception stages
- Supporting the development and implementation of project plans
- Managing project schedules and ensuring alignment with overall project goals
- Working closely with project managers, stakeholders, and various teams to ensure cohesive planning
- Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as required
- Providing comprehensive planning input for major live complex design and build projects
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Reporting and presenting project status updates to senior management and clients
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in project planning within early-stage PMO setups
- Experience working on major live complex design and build construction projects, such as airport terminals, data centres, pharmaceutical plants, hospitals, or major rail station programmes
- Strong understanding of planning governance, procedures, and processes
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in project planning software and tools
- Relevant qualifications in project planning or construction management
Requirements:
- Contract role based in London with hybrid working options
- Position is outside IR35
