Wimborne | 12-Month Contract
Pay Rates:

  • £15.00 per hour PAYE / £17.18 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)
  • OR £20.53 per hour Umbrella
  • Overtime paid at x1.5 for after 37hrs and Saturdays, x2 for sundays and bank holidays


Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week)


We're recruiting for a WIP Coordinator to join a leading Aerospace organisation in Wimborne, operating within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with stores, warehouse, inventory control or materials management experience to support production operations and play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, traceability and material flow.

The Role

As a WIP Coordinator, you will be responsible for the administration, control and physical movement of Work in Progress (WIP) materials throughout the production process. Working closely with the Stores Lead and production teams, you will ensure parts are accurately picked, issued, tracked and recorded within the ERP system while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and traceability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick and issue stock parts to production work orders.
  • Update ERP system transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain full batch control, quality standards and traceability of materials.
  • Package items appropriately for transportation and storage.
  • Manage and organise WIP storage locations to maintain material control.
  • Carry out inventory and material movement transactions within the ERP system.
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Support 5S activities and maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Work collaboratively with production and stores teams to meet operational requirements.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support business needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Stores, Warehouse, Inventory Control or Materials Management environment.
  • Experience within a highly regulated industry such as Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Electronics or Manufacturing would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of Work in Progress (WIP) processes.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP or inventory management systems.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using digital inventory tools.
  • Good understanding of safe material handling procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

  • Inventory accuracy and stock control performance.
  • WIP and kitting turnaround times.
  • Compliance with 5S standards and continuous improvement activities.
  • Adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety requirements.
  • Accurate transactional processing within the ERP system.
