Our client in the retail sector is seeking a highly skilled Technical Programme Manager to join their team on a 3 month initial contract basis (could go permanent for the right candidate.). The role is primarily remote with occasional travel to site in London when required.
This role focuses on overseeing a critical Databricks migration, requiring a hands-on approach to manage and run the programme effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership and leadership of the Databricks migration programme
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timelines and milestones are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and execution
- Manage risks, issues, and change requests to maintain project scope and delivery
- Provide regular programme updates and reports to senior stakeholders
- Ensure best practices and methodologies are applied throughout the programme lifecycle
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative working environment
- Ensure all programme deliverables are achieved within budget and scope
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Programme Manager within the retail sector
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with Databricks
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to take a hands-on approach and lead by example
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Relevant academic qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
